At Hayward Rotary we not only work on customers cars. We have quite a collection ourselves. We like to race our cars not only for fun but it allows us to try out our new products and develop new ideas and modifications.

1984 RX-7 : 3 ROTOR SHORT BLOCK PERIPHERAL

 

Some of you may have seen us race our Gen 1 this year at rotorstock 4,  running a Small block Triple Rotor Peripheral Port, utilising a modified Webber 48 IDA carb setup, and custom exhaust to get those gasses flowing correctly.

The underpinnings of the car have been changed with a different gear box (still manual) and a modified Differential.

 

The car is still under testing and there are a number of issues to resolve before we can unleash the whole potential of the block. We are however very confident in the ability of the little FB.

1974 RX-3 : Track Car

 

Carl acquired this beast many moons ago now, and although she hasn't run for a while the underpinnings of a great car are there and done. The car is fully stripped out and ready for a block to go in.

Well its been a busy few months for our Ol’Skool drag car, but the hard work is finally paying off!!

 

The car has now been painted, the chassis is all but completed and the block is in and mounted.

 

The ancillary items needed to finish off should be completed soon, and we are hopeful to run the car this year.
